Understanding the more common types of AML and CTF typologies is an important part of the Compliance Officer’s function. Through familiarity with a range of AML and CTF typologies, Compliance Officers are able to create and enhance the right controls to mitigate the risk and impact of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing activities. Further understanding of the nature of any ‘red flags’ related to these typologies is essential in identifying and managing these risks when they crystallise.

This half-day course provides an overview of core AML and CTF typologies and the means by which these can be identified and controlled.

The course is designed for Compliance and/or Audit staff within FCA-authorised firms who are involved in identifying and controlling AML and CTF risk. It is particularly suitable for junior Compliance staff (typically those with 1-3 years of experience) who wish to further develop their knowledge and professional skills.
