The FCA’s Policy on Non-Financial Misconduct

The Financial Conduct Authority’s (FCA) latest findings on culture and non-financial misconduct have revealed a marked rise in the number of reported non-financial misconduct incidents. Bullying, harassment and discrimination are among the most frequently reported types of non-financial misconduct.

Whilst at this stage, it is unclear whether this is due to more incidents having taken place or a greater willingness to report them, the FCA continues to “drive a continued positive momentum on improving culture in financial firms”, and will soon be releasing further analysis of their findings.

This webinar offers practical guidance on how Senior Management should approach the challenge of Non-Financial Misconduct in financial services firms.

Date: Wednesday 29th January 2025
Time: 10:00 am - 10:45 am
Delivery: Virtual, Zoom
Presenter:
Peter Haines

Overview

The FCA's Policy Statement is yet to be issued confirming its approach. We hope that it will answer questions such as:

  • How does the FCA define Non-Financial Misconduct?
  • To what extent does it cover misconduct, both inside and outside, of the office?
  • How does Non-Financial Misconduct impact the fitness and propriety of Senior Managers and Certified Staff?

This webinar aims to provide practical guidance following the regulator's Policy Statement.
